The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the NEET UG 2026 examination fee refund process following the cancellation of the May 3 NEET exam amid the paper leak controversy. Candidates can now submit or update their bank account details through the official NEET portal to receive their refund.
According to NTA guidelines, all candidates who paid the fee for the cancelled NEET UG 2026 examination are eligible for the refund. Officials have clarified that receiving the refund will not affect a student’s eligibility to appear for the upcoming Re-NEET examination.
The refund process is available on the official NEET website, where candidates must log in and submit details such as:
- Account holder name
- Bank account number
- IFSC code
- Bank name
Students who had earlier provided another person’s bank account during registration can also update their account information before the deadline.
NTA has further confirmed that no additional fee will be charged for the Re-NEET examination scheduled for June 21, 2026.
The last date to submit bank details for the refund process is May 27, 2026. Students have been advised to rely only on official updates published on the NEET portal.
