SSC OTR Registration 2026
One-Time Registration (OTR) is the first step for candidates using the new SSC website. Candidates need to complete OTR before applying for examinations through the portal.
Candidates who completed OTR on the old ssc.nic.in website need to complete OTR again on ssc.gov.in, as the old registration is not functional on the new website.
Details to Keep Ready
Keep the following information available before starting OTR:
- Mobile number
- Email ID
- Aadhaar or other required identification details
- Class 10/matriculation details
- Personal information
- Educational details
How to Complete SSC OTR Registration
SSC OTR is completed in two stages: generating the registration credentials and completing the detailed profile.
Step 1: Open the SSC Registration Page
Visit ssc.gov.in, select Login or Register, and click Register Now.
Step 2: Enter Personal Details
Provide the required identification and personal details. Enter your name, date of birth, father’s name, and mother’s name exactly as mentioned on your Matriculation (10th Class) Certificate.
You will also need to provide your Matriculation Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing, along with your active mobile number and email ID. Both mobile number and email ID need to be verified through OTP.
Step 3: Generate Registration Credentials
Click Save & Next after entering the required basic details. The SSC portal generates your Registration Number and sends the system-generated password to your registered contact details.
Step 4: Log In for the First Time
Return to the SSC homepage and log in using your Registration Number, system-generated password, and the displayed captcha.
Step 5: Change Your Password
For the first login, you need to create a new password. Follow the password requirements shown on the SSC portal and set your security questions for account recovery.
Step 6: Log In Again
After changing the password, log in again using your Registration Number and new password.
Step 7: Complete Additional Details
Enter the remaining profile information, including category, nationality, identification marks, permanent address, and present address, as applicable.
Step 8: Review and Submit the Declaration
Preview the complete OTR details carefully. Check the declaration and submit the registration after confirming that the information is correct.
Once the declaration is submitted, the OTR profile is complete. Candidates can then use the SSC dashboard to apply for examination notifications for which they are eligible.

Common SSC Login & Application Issues
Login Not Working
Check the login details entered and use the recovery option available on the portal if needed. If the website is facing a temporary technical issue, try again later.
Application Link Not Showing
An examination’s application link appears when its application window is active. If the link is unavailable, check whether applications for that examination are currently open.
Website Not Loading
Check your internet connection, refresh the page, and try an updated browser. If the issue continues, try accessing the portal later.
Submit the SSC application well before the deadline. Heavy traffic, slow loading, or technical problems near the closing date can make it difficult to complete the application on time. Keep your SSC login details safe and submit applications before the deadline. Always follow the requirements given for the specific examination you are applying for.
