    JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern

    The exam pattern is different for Paper 1 (B.Tech) and Paper 2 (B.Arch). Four marks are awarded for every correct answer and on every wrong answer there is a negative marking of one mark. Each paper will be for a duration of 3 hours.

    Paper 1 :

    The JEE Main 2025 exam for B.Tech has 75 questions. It covers Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for a total of 300 marks. Each section has 25 mandatory questions. These include 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and 5 numerical value questions. There are no optional questions.

    Paper 2 :

    The JEE Main 2025 exam for B.Arch has two subpapers 2A and 2B. The mode of exam is computer based except for the drawing section. The exam is for a total of 400 marks.The first paper (B.Arch/2A) has 75 questions plus 2 for the drawing test. The two drawing questions are evaluated out of 100 marks. The second paper (B.Plan/2B) has 100 questions.

    JEE Advanced 2025 Exam Pattern

    JEE advanced 2025 consists of two papers.

    JEE Advanced Paper 1 and 2 will be for 180 marks and last 3 hours. It will consist of 51 questions, with 17 questions in each subject (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics). Each subject has a maximum of 60 marks.

    The paper is divided into four sections:

  • Section I: Maximum marks – 12
  • Section II: Maximum marks – 12
  • Section III: Maximum marks – 24
  • Section IV: Maximum marks – 12

  • The marking scheme for each section will vary in each paper and will be provided in the instructions.
